I just flew from NYC to Atlanta for a meeting tomorrow.  I shared a cab with a coworker and, while I paid, she took our bags out of the back of the cab.  She thought I only had one but I actually had two and the cab driver drove off with the 2nd.  In the missing bag:
- My laptop
- Fashdrive with my presentation
- Notes for presentation
- Work phone (Verizon Blackberry - works great)
- Glasses
Luckily, I grabbed a receipt so I could expense the ride and the receipt included the driver’s medallion number.  I called 311 and they took my number and said the driver would call me.  My flight was leaving in an hour. 20 minutes went with no call.  Another 10 and I was looking into changing my flight to later tonight cause I couldn’t leave without my deck.  I held the phone in my hand the entire time waiting for him to call. 10 minutes later - oh look - I suddenly have two voicemails!  This guy has been trying to call me but AT&T is sending him right to my voicemail despite the fact that I am very available and holding the phone in the palm of my hand. I’m in danger of missing my flight waiting for a guy who is parked outside with the meter running.  No thanks to AT&T, I made it on to the plane with five minutes to spare looking like a ball of sweat.
